Introducing After the Fire: A Podcast About What Comes Next

There is a moment after everything burns down—after the truth comes out, after the leaving, after the loss, after the trauma—when the noise finally quiets.

That moment is after the fire.

And that’s where this podcast begins.

I’m so honored to introduce After the Fire, a new podcast by The Resilience Labs, created for survivors, seekers, and anyone who has had to rebuild themselves from the ashes of something that tried to break them.

This podcast is not about reliving trauma for the sake of it.

It’s about what happens next.

Why After the Fire Exists

So much of the conversation around trauma focuses on the breaking point—the abuse, the betrayal, the injustice, the crisis. But what we don’t talk about enough is the aftermath:

  • The identity shifts

  • The grief and the rage

  • The moments of numbness and the moments of clarity

  • The quiet rebuilding of trust—with yourself, with your body, with your life

After the fire, you are changed.

And you are also powerful in ways you may not yet recognize.

This podcast exists to explore that space with honesty, compassion, and depth.

What We’ll Talk About

Each episode of After the Fire is designed to feel like a grounding conversation—one that leaves you feeling seen, steadied, and a little more connected to yourself.

You can expect conversations around:

  • Healing after abuse, trauma, and injustice

  • Reconnecting with your body and nervous system

  • Reclaiming identity after everything you knew fell apart

  • The hidden “superpowers” survivors often develop

  • Boundaries, self-trust, and rebuilding a sense of safety

  • Love, purpose, creativity, and desire after trauma

Some episodes will be deeply reflective.

Some will be educational.

Some will feel like a quiet exhale you didn’t know you needed.

All of them are rooted in trauma-informed care and lived experience.

Who This Podcast Is For

After the Fire is for you if:

  • You’ve survived something that changed you

  • You’re tired of “just moving on” and want real healing

  • You’re learning to trust yourself again

  • You want conversations that honor both pain and power

  • You’re rebuilding your life on your own terms

You don’t need to be fully healed to be here.

You just need to be willing to listen.

From The Resilience Labs

This podcast is an extension of the work we do at The Resilience Labs—creating spaces where healing is not rushed, minimized, or commodified.

It aligns with our core belief:

Resilience isn’t about being unbreakable. It’s about learning how to rise—again and again—with intention, support, and self-trust.
