Honoring Your Transition

Before we can reclaim ourselves, we must first witness ourselves. The first week of this journey invites you to slow down and truly see what you’ve been through — not just the birth, but the becoming. So often, new mothers are expected to “bounce back” when what they really need is to be held in their story.

In trauma-informed healing, storytelling is sacred. It’s how we name our pain. It’s how we move from silence to self-trust. This week, you’ll reflect on the path that brought you here, not to relive it — but to honor it. Because your story didn’t break you. It built you.

Coaching Exercise: Your Birth + Becoming Story

  1. Find a quiet space. Begin by writing out your birth story — from your perspective.

    What happened?

    How did you feel?

What do you wish someone had asked you afterward?

  2. Then, write a second short reflection: “Who was I before motherhood? Who am I becoming?”

  3. Let this be unfiltered. You don’t need to clean it up for anyone.

Journal: Processing your story

What is one moment I’ve never fully processed — and what would I say if I could speak that truth aloud?
